Do you know who invented the "hair weave", A beautiful women by the name of Christina Jenkins she invented the sew in weave technique, Jenkins started work at a wig manufacturer in Chicago and in 1949 she began working on her sew in technique for a better fit and secure way to wear the weave. At a time where women was pinning weave to there hair with pins and anything that worked to make sure the weave was steady and in place. It included three cords and a device called weaving frame. The weaving frame is made entirely by hand, which makes it more ethereal feel. Jenkins and her husband then moved to Ohio where the progressivist taught the hair weave technique to cosmetologist, stylist anyone that wanted to learn, with her invention and stylist creation became very popular all around the world.

Hair weave back in the days were pretty bulky and and stiff, but at first it came out the same with Mrs. Jenkins creative technique she created a way for it to be applied and wear it for a while. In those times it was very time consuming.

The late Ohio congress women praised Jenkins after the phenomenal inventor died at the age of 82 in 2003, Congress women said the heroic creator is " A pioneer in the field of cosmetology ” and her invention is a revolutionary contribution to history, that helped boost the self esteem to women across the world.
